Facials are performed by licensed estheticians who will recommend the best facial treatment for your skin type. Do your research. Search for local spas in your areas that offer facials and compare their ratings, treatments, and types of products use. You could also ask your family and friends if they have any spas or estheticians they recommend.
Getting a facial once a month consistently is an amazing way to improve the overall quality of your skin. The benefits include:

DAY OF APPOINTMENT…
Once you’ve booked your pampering day at the spa, take note of any medications or product you are using on your skin so you are prepared for your consultation with your esthetician.
Go light on your skin care routine and make-up application the day of.
Be prepared to undress from the waist up or completely depending on the spa or if you are getting an additional treatment. Don’t worry, You will be covered with a sheet and blanket and the esthetician will only move the covering as necessary.
Be honest during your consultation about your home skin care routine, any allergies or conditions so you can receive the treatment and avoid and negative reactions. For example if you are allergic to nuts, take supplements or if you use a sugar scrub on your face weekly etc.
Be open to the new techniques and feedback about your skin and home skincare routine.

POST FACIAL …
Directly after a facial it is tempting to show off your new glow but keep the following in mind:
Drink plenty of water
Stay out of direct sunlight
Do not apply heavy make-up the day of the facial
Moisturize
Do not exfoliate for at least 2-3 days, allow skin to rest
Follow the esthetician home skincare recommendations
Go ahead and book you facial, your skin will thank you.
